What is SenseOS flooding detection?
SenseOS flooding detection uses battery-powered NB-IoT wireless water-level sensors to monitor sumps, underground passages and low-lying areas. When water reaches a graded alert level from low to critical, or a pump fails, the platform notifies the site team immediately so pumping and drainage can start sooner. Most locations are installed within half a day, with no cabling or drainage works.
Key facts
- Monitoring points
- Sumps, underground passages, low-lying areas and open channels
- Alert levels
- Up to four: low, medium, high and critical
- Connectivity & power
- NB-IoT wireless, about 2 years of battery life
- Installation
- Usually within half a day, no cabling
- Data
- Stored in the cloud, Excel/PDF export and API integration
Who it is for
- Site sumps and temporary pumping locations
- Underground passages, basements and subways
- Low-lying areas exposed to heavy rain
- Projects that must submit water-level records to clients or government
How it works
- 1Install water-level sensors where the site needs them
- 2Sensors send readings to the platform over NB-IoT
- 3The platform checks each alert level and pump status
- 4Graded alerts go out by SMS, WhatsApp, email or voice call

Workflow
From installation to alert in 4 steps
01Install
Wireless and battery-powered, typically done in half a day
02Transmit
Sensors report on schedule and send data over NB-IoT
03Assess risk
Data is evaluated 24/7 against preset risk formulas
04Notify
SMS, voice call, email and WhatsApp alerts to the right people
One platform for every low-lying location
Web and mobile views show water levels, alert history and pump status. Data can return to customer systems through API, while more monitoring applications can be added later.
